Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know the individuals listed on the Trust Navigator network
are legitimate business people?

Every person in the network is required to provide Trust Navigator with three references. We personally call and interview these references, and post their testimonials on the Trust Navigator website. In addition to these testimonials, we also provide a paragraph defining the service the individual offers, a biography outlining his/her experience and a picture.

What constitutes a "referral"?
The person who has the initial client relationship is always the client's primary contact. If a member of Trust Navigator makes a referral to another Trust Navigator service provider, that referral is the secondary client contact and will always work through the primary client contact. The model requires that any future business the secondary contact receives from that client is referral business, and the relationship always resides with the primary contact, as does a percentage of the fee from the business. Trust Navigator facilitates the relationship between members and the collection and disbursement of fees.

How is the cooperative governed?
Trust Navigator requires individuals on the network to sign three agreements:

  1. A service provider agreement
  2. A solicitor agreement outlining use of services
  3. A full disclosure agreement outlining the fee structure of the referral
Trust Navigator is responsible for overseeing the network with regard to these agreements as well as adherence to the rules regarding the referral relationships.

What is the fee structure?
Trust Navigator has set up an industry standard fee structure. The individual who makes a referral to the network provider is entitled to 25% of the fee for business that the referral receives. In turn, Trust Navigator receives 20% of the referral fee. While these are the standard fees, they are subject to change per special circumstances agreed upon by all participating parties.
